Background: Osprey Real Estate was making updates to a property with an existing CMU wall. They wanted to know if the existing CMU wall was constructed in way that would allow them to use it as a retaining wall for a few feet of fill soil. No plans or as-builts were available.
GPR Data’s Solution: GPR Data scanned the CMU wall and laid out the existing reinforcing and grouted vs non-grouted cells. Based on the data we provided an engineer determined that the existing wall can safely support the fill material and the project was able to continue as planned.
